How to Travel from SF to Davis by Train
Two Options:
1) San Francisco-Richmond-Davis. BART (the subway train) to Richmond and then the train to Davis. Tickets for the Amtrack (the train company) train ride can be purchased from a vendor machine in Richmond. Trains run every hour.
2) San Francisco-Emeryville-Davis. Amtrak has a Thruway bus that leaves San Francisco to Emeryville, where it meets the train. At night, it’s a bit safer than going to Richmond. There are four stops in San Francisco, where one can meet the bus:
- The Financial District (SFF)
- Fisherman’s Wharf (SFW)
- Transbay Terminal (SFC)
- The Shopping District (SFS)
Depending on where one will be in San Francisco, ticket can be purchased from that stop to Davis. This can be done online, as well.
